Snake Goddess Wall Shrine

Picture of my wall altar

On the wall in my entryway, I have changed around this shelf which is now set up as a shrine to the Snake Goddess of Crete. She is depicted as small bronze figure on the left and also is shown in the incredible handmade stained glass figure. On the right is a small bronze statue of the Nile Goddess.

I try to always have a candle lit for them, my own version of a Perpetual Flame. The candle sits on a small potholder to keep the shelf safe from any heat. The shelf itself is a dragon, and was handpainted from greenware, by Soluna, in gorgeous shades of plum overlaid with gold. The stained glass Goddess was made by our friend, Merlin, and it is one of a kind. This is a simple set-up, and safe for a lit candle as there is nothing above it to catch fire, and also high enough to be out of the reach of children and pets. This is a permanent shrine in my home.
