This is a candleholder that we found which is shaped like a sheaf of wheat, and has an old patina. Lord Riekin fashioned the wooden "shelf" which holds a small brass statue of the Triple Bridget. To Her right is a tiny alabaster chalice, to Her left is the equally tiny athame which is it's mate. Lord Riekin made the athame from a deer antler and a small blade. The "candles" are actually glass oil lamps made to look like spiralling candles. I prefer them in this case because I can keep the wicks low, and keep the flame low also.
This shrine is in my computer/sewing/needlecrafts room, and so is an appropriate setting for Bridget. That's the other reason why I want the flames kept low. This is not lit all the time, only when I am at work in the room. Again, it is out of reach of the grandkids and is safely away from curtains, bookshelves, and other flamables. Remember to use your common sense when thinking about the placement of anything which is breakable or will be lit.
